I have great memories of puffed wheat squares and once my daughter starting eating puffed corn and kamut I thought hmmm why not.... These were pretty good and I loved the corn and kamut in there but the syrup part could be better, my moms are awesome, next time I will use her recipe for sure :)
If you are looking for the more chocolately type this recipe is not it.
Puffed corn and kamut squares
1/2 cup salted butter
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup corn syrup
2 tsp cocoa butter
2 tsp vanilla extract
8 cups puffed cereal
1.) Grease an 9"x"13 for thinner squares or an 8"x8" for thick ones
2.) Bring all the ingredients except for the cereal to a rolling boil
3.) Remove from heat stir in puffed cereal
4.) Pack firmly into prepared pan
5.)Cool and cut into squares
Those are beautiful!
